Tarja got in touch last January about her up and coming wedding plans. We met up in a cafe in Brighton and went through the plans – drank lots of coffee, chatted it all through and looked at lots of pictures. Tarja’s background in fashion styling meant she had the ‘look’ in mind. Luckily we were all on the same page, and a few emails and pictures later we were all booked up for the food, flowers and later The Cake.

They wanted an easy going, relaxed wedding day, that all their family, friends and everyone’s children would enjoy. Taplin’s Place in Hampshire  has a quirky garden, which was perfect for the kids to run around in, and they had booked it up for ‘the big day’. They planned on getting married in the little summer house, and then spending the afternoon playing games in the garden. The rain arrive at exactly 3pm – bang on when Tarja was due to walk down the ‘aisle’ – but two minutes later it had blown over and everybody breathed a collective sigh of relief. 

After the service the guests set about the Cream Teas  – Homebaked Scones with Lashings of Homemade Jam, Clotted Cream and Copious Tea to wash it all down. They tucked into the Pimms, whilst The Swing Ninjas did their thing. Rich was worried that the boys wouldn’t want Tea or Pimms so there was a bath of beer for them.

After dinner and The Speeches was The Party. We left piles of sleeping children and partying parents whiling away the evening (I think there may, possibly have been a few soar heads in the morning!).
