Let’s be honest, there are certain corners of the wedding world that are churning them out, like chipolatas from a sausage maker. It’s all a bit corporate, it’s all a bit cold, and all a bit conveyor belt for us. It’s time to reject the “ABC” approach. We believe in people over packages, souls over spreadsheets. So, we give you our heartfelt rant, our Anti Wedding Factory Manifesto…
Choose the slow build (yay!) – Down with rushing (boooo!)
(I hate rushing). We don’t do conveyor belt. We host one wedding a weekend, giving everyone time to settle in, decorate, and truly enjoy the process. Whether you want to roll up your sleeves or have us set everything up for you, we give you the luxury of time.
Choose lots of tasty food (yay!) – Down With Boring Chicken Dinner (boooo!)
Yes to the seasons and yes to sharing. Say no to the standard, uninspired banquet and yes to proper tasty food that people actually want to eat. Hooray!
Choose your timeline (yay!) – strict schedules? – (boooooo! down with this sort of thing)
Say no to cookie-cutter timings. We don’t have a “standard schedule” because you aren’t a standard couple. Let us help you build a bespoke master plan that works just for you.
Choose Authenticity (yay!), Not Awkward Showrooms (yawn!)
Our vibe is relaxed, fun celebrations, the barn is proper authentic barn – we give you the real deal, not the shiny plastic version.
Choose Friendly Soulful Staff (hello!), not uniformed anonymous servers (byeeeee)
We have lots of lovely people, and no faceless staff drafted in from an agency. You’ll find Edie making the mojitos and falling over laughing, and Sally and Sophie giggling over the ice cream bike.
The Choice is Yours.
Choose life. Choose fun. Choose a load of people laughing round the fire pit. Choose having a fab time with all your friends and not worrying about sugared almonds and chair covers.
Choose lots of delicious food. Choose great big canapes. Choose the seasons. Choose sharing. Choose authentic. Choose eating eating too much.
Choose ties. choose bow ties, black ties, no ties, hand ties.
Choose kissing in a field. Choose sparklers. Choose being zip-tied out of your tent by your friends. Choose a mariachi band, baby birds, and bumblebees under floorboards. Choose original beams and lichen-covered branches heavy with apples.
Choose doing it your way, but with help. Choose walking down the aisle alone, together, with your Mum, your Dad, your Mum and your Dad, your best mate. Choose canapés before the ceremony.
Choose a giant poofy meringue dress or a slinky sequinned number. Choose speeches outside, planes doing a fly-by, straw bales, and sing-a-longs. Choose your bridesmaids singing a song, your friends doing a million speeches, or choose no speeches at all.
Choose beautiful. Choose real. Choose you… and you too.
